Avatar Customization

NOTE: Zwift is in process of rolling out a new home screen to users. This process details the current method of avatar customization.

Like any video game, customizing your avatar represents the online version of yourself. Zwift is no different and provides some basic functionality to customize your avatar as you see fit. The avatar customization is accessed once you are in game by clicking anywhere on the screen to bring up the 'menu' button. Click on the menu button to bring up the 'Paused' screen. This is the same location where you access workouts, badges, pair and settings. On the right side are 5 icons, select 'Garage' to customize your avatar.

My Garage[]

In the 'My Garage' screen, there are various options to outfit your avatar with cycling gear. These will be addressed in the Game Play section under Garage. For now, we'll just focus on the 'Me' portion of the 'My garage'.

Select 'Me' to customize the facial look of the avatar. The height and weight numbers you enter into your profile basically determine the body shape of the avatar. The screens shown below for for the male gender. The female gender will have different options but the process is the same.

There are 3 male facial areas that can be customized in Zwift: Head Type, Hair and Facial Hair. Females only have Head Type and Hair options.

Head Type[]

As you can see from the Head Type screen, you can select from several head shapes and skin tones for your avatar. Simply select the one you prefer and it will be highlighted and have a green check mark. The display on the right will show you how your choice looks on your avatar.

Hair[]

As you can see from the Hair screen, you can select from several hair styles for your avatar. Hair color is selected from the color bar on the right side of the screen. Simply select the one you prefer and it will be highlighted and have a green check mark. The display on the right will show you how your choice looks on your avatar.

Facial Hair[]

As you can see from the Facial Hair screen, you can select from several facial hair options for your avatar. Simply select the one you prefer and it will be highlighted and have a green check mark. The display on the right will show you how your choice looks on your avatar.
