Zwift Companion App
Zwift offers a free app that can run the game from a mobile device or act as a supplement if running from another internet connected device. It is called the Zwift Companion (ZC) App. It is available for both Android and IOS devices. Like any other phone app, go to your respective Google Play store or Apple store to download the app to your mobile device. Whether you use it all the time or only occasionally, the ZC app is a very useful tool to have for Zwift.
When used alongside Zwift, the ZC app gives you a map view and the ability to chat, make U-turns, and interact with Zwifters—among other things. Additionally, the ZC app can be used as a bridge to connect your smart trainer to Zwift and run the game.
See Zwift's in-depth tutorial about the ZC app, using it as a bridge and it's in game features.

Pairing with Zwift[]
To use the ZC app, both the device that's running Zwift (whether PC, Mac, iOS, or Apple TV) and the mobile device running ZC need to be on the same (WiFi) network and SSID (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz) channel. After you’ve made sure they’re on the same network and SSID channel, complete these steps:
- If you haven’t already, launch Zwift on the device running the program and log in.
- Launch the ZC app on your mobile device.
- Log in on the ZC app using the same credentials you use for Zwift.
- Launch Zwift on your main device and log in.
