In December of 2019, Zwift has announced the release of a new map designed purely for racing, Crit City. The first thing to know about Crit City is that it’s an event-only route, meaning that you can’t just go ride it, you have to join an actual scheduled event on it.

As the name suggests, the new world is based on a criterium race course. It totals just 1.9km in length and gains close to just 8m in elevation.

Geography[]

The Crit City route is not within any real-world town. The route is 1.9 km long (1.2mi), plus there’s a little bit of a lead-in on the first lap from the starting corrals. The route goes two different directions, one called ‘The Bell Lap’, and the other called ‘Downtown Dolphin’. Same course, just different directions. What’s most notable here are the 90° turns, but also the short little hills. Not really hills per se, more like accidental speed bumps at only 7.9 meters of elevation gain per lap. Either way, you’ll briefly feel them.

Routes []

Below are the available routes in Crit City. See the Master Route List for an overview of all routes, distances, elevation and XP.
