Over the course of 2022, Zwift overhauled their opening Home Screen to Zwift. By now, the rollout should be mostly complete to all users. The new user interface is based on a tile like structure that is common to many applications. According to Zwift, this is just the first step in modernizing the interface and grouping together functions in a logical manner. The Home Screen appears after you have paired your devices with Zwift. From the Home Screen, you can now do the following things prior to actually starting the game:
- Select an active world and specific route
- Select events that have recently started or events that will be starting within the next 60 minutes
- Scroll and sort through routes by distance, duration and elevation
- Select a workout or training plan
- Choose a Pace Partner
- Select Join a Zwifter
- Connect and pair devices
- View Achievements, Badges and Missions completed
- Open your garage and equip your avatar with virtual equipment
Home Screen[]
After pairing your devices to Zwift, the Home Screen will appear similarly to the image below. Depending on your screen size, you may not see as much as shown in this image. You can adjust the Home Screen size in the settings menu once you are in-game. If the tiles still fall beyond the width of your screen, you can still navigate to them by using your arrow keys. Use the up/down arrow keys to go up/down the tile rows and use the left/right arrow keys to move horizontally across a given row even if it extends beyond the screen display. The first row of tiles are special events or missions that are available to you or that you have already been registered to participate.
In the upper right of the home screen, you'll see a ride/run icon depending on the type of exercise you want to do. The next three icons will bring up separate screens as follows: 1) Calendar icon will bring up the Events screen 2) World icon will bring up the available courses and routes screen 3) Clipboard icon will bring up the workouts screen.
In the upper left corner of the home screen, you'll see a status of your paired/connected devices. A number will be displayed for the how many devices you have connected. Clicking on this will bring up the device pairing screen. The achievement icon will open the achievement screen showing how many route badges, achievement badges and completed missions you have done. The house icon will open the garage screen. The next graphic displays your avatar picture, drops accumulated and level status. The door icon is where you can exit the game. You will receive a confirmation prompt before exiting.

Events Screen[]
Clicking on the 'Calendar' icon will bring up a screen highlighting the current group events that you can join within in the next 60 minutes. Some may have already started and allow late join while other are about to start. If an event start is 60 minutes or more from beginning, use the companion app or the Zwift Events webpage to join. Use the sorting/filter functions to narrow your events selection.
Worlds/Routes Screen[]
The 'World' icon will bring up a screen showing you the currently available worlds and the routes in those worlds. This will allow you to select the world you want to ride as well as a specific route. Routes can be sorted by distance, duration and elevation. Other information is also displayed about the route such as difficulty level and estimated time to complete. Clicking on a specific route will bring up a side screen showing a map and details about that route.

Workouts Screen[]
The 'Clipboard' icon will bring up the workouts/training plans screen. Workouts can be viewed by Collections, Custom or All. From here you can select a specific workout or training plan for your ride. Clicking on any workout will bring up details about that workout such as the workout purpose, structure and duration. Workouts can still be selected at any point in-game during your ride as well.
Pace Partners[]
The last row of tiles lists all the Pace Partners that are available to you. There is no additional screen as each Pace Partner tile lists the Pace Partner name, world, number of following riders, elevation, w/kg and speed. As there are many Pace Partner options, be sure to scroll to the right on the horizontal row of tiles using your left/right arrow keys to find your Pace Partner choice.
Join a Zwifter[]

A feature from the old home screen that has returned in the new version of the home screen. 'Join a Zwifter' allows you to jump into the game with any Zwifter that is currently riding and not involved in an event ride. The Zwifter can be on any world or route. A list of Zwifters will be presented to you with your favorite Zwifters at the top of the list, then other zwifters and pro/verified Zwifters at the bottom of the list. Select the Zwifter you want to join and click 'Start Ride'.
